Since 1960, we have been manufacturing high-performance adhesives and glues for bonding natural and synthetic materials used in various industrial and professional applications.
Castelanelli Francesco S.r.l., founded in Genoa after the war, is today a solid and well-established company in the industrial chemicals sector, with a long tradition of quality and innovation. Managed with passion and professionalism by the founder’s grandchildren, it has retained the family atmosphere that has always distinguished its identity, combining experience and dynamism to successfully meet the challenges of today’s market. La storia
Our company was founded in Genoa, immediately after the war, by Francesco Castelanelli. The main activity at that time was the production of pitch for waterproofing the string used to sew shoe soles.
When glue appeared on shoemakers’ workbenches, Castelanelli Francesco developed its own line of glues, which quickly won the respect of many users and retailers thanks to its high quality standards. Thus, in the late 1950s, the TRE PINI brand was born, quickly becoming synonymous with quality throughout Italy.
In the mid-1960s, Mr Francesco was joined in the company by his two sons, Ermelindo and Antonio. Thanks to this new energy, the company expanded further and new machinery was purchased for rolling and mixing raw materials.
Soon, in addition to the footwear sector, the company was able to successfully target various industrial sectors, including:
- the wood industry;
- the shipbuilding industry;
- the rubber flooring industry;
- the diving equipment industry;
- the thermal and acoustic insulation industry;
- do-it-yourself.
In 1970, the first semi-automatic machine for packaging glue in aluminum tubes was purchased; this allowed our brand to be present for both domestic and professional use. In 1972, Castelanelli Francesco S.r.l. moved to its current facility at Via delle Terre Rosse 38 in Genoa. Around the same time, a new glue for the footwear market, AQUILCOL, was launched, which also achieved great success. In the mid-1990s, Mr. Francesco’s grandchildren joined the company, bringing new skills to improve its competitiveness in a market, the chemical industry, increasingly dominated by large corporations.

Today, Castelanelli Francesco S.r.l. is a solid company, well-established in its sector, capable of combining the experience gained over the years with constant dynamism and a strong focus on innovation. Despite the natural process of growth and transformation, the company has retained the family-like, close-knit atmosphere that has always been its core, giving it a unique and recognizable identity. Management of the company is now firmly entrusted to the grandchildren of the founder, Mr. Francesco, who carry on his legacy with passion, professionalism, and a sense of responsibility, ensuring continuity and the ability to adapt to new market challenges.
